Tips for planning your perfect wedding
Location, location, location Both Whitefish Lodge & Manhattan Beach Lodge are beautiful locations that can make your day so special.
Whitefish Lodge is in the heart of Crosslake and offers reception space for up to 325 people, 54 cabin style guests rooms, complimentary breakfast each morning as well as two areas to host your ceremony. Here your guests can come straight from their room to the ceremony and on to the reception without the hassle of driving.
Manhattan Beach Lodge is on the shores of Big Trout Lake of the Whitefish Chain of Lakes. Nestled among the pines Manhattan Beach Lodge offers 19 guest rooms, complimentary continental breakfast each morning, Manhattan’s restaurant and our Lakeside Tiki Bar. When booking Manhattan Beach Lodge every aspect of the property is utilized for a wedding: photos, ceremony, social, dinner, dance and lodging. Lakeside ceremonies and stunning sunsets make Manhattan Beach Lodge the perfect backdrop!
During certain times of the year you can have the best of both locations. Start with a Lakeside Ceremony and Cocktail hour at Manhattan Beach Lodge then dine and dance the night away at Whitefish Lodge & Suites
Plan like crazy during the months prior to your wedding, but on your wedding day, let everything go. It is so easy to get caught up on all the details of your wedding reception, but when the big day arrives, there is very little you can do as events unfold. Take in this day with a full heart.
Meet with Crystal (our Director of Sales & Marketing) as often as you need to or just shoot her an email or text. She is very prompt on getting back to you and welcomes all your questions.
Give Out-of-Town Guests a Welcome Basket Whether you are local to Crosslake or from out of town yourself, many of you guests had to travel to be a part of your big day. To show your appreciation, give welcome bags for guests staying at our lodges. Include a few snacks, bottles of water, and a list of local resources. If you really want to splurge throw in a bottle of wine or a tasty local treat.
Play Wedding Games
During cocktail hour or when you guests need a break from dancing, what’s more fun than an interactive game? Options like bocce ball, over-sized jenga, backyard dice or bean bag are fun ways to get your friends & family to interact with each other.
Create a DIY Bar Whether it’s a candy station during cocktail hour, Sundae bar for dessert or a S’mores station at sunset, your guests will love making (and eating) their own treats.
Serve Late-Night Snacks Dinner & Desert have been served and the dancing is going strong it’s likely that more than just a few of your guests are starting to think of a tasty late-night snack. Whether it is pizza by the slice, sliders and fries, mini grilled cheese or a nacho bar talk to crystal about setting up a late-night snack bar about an hour before the reception ends to curve that late night snack attack! At Whitefish Lodge & Suites and Manhattan Beach Lodge we believe that no two people or celebrations are alike – personal service is our trademark. Meeting your needs and exceeding your expectations is our goal. Crystal Glaser, our Director of Sales & Marketing has been coordinating Manhattan Beach Lodge weddings since 2009, planning hundreds of memorable days for happy couples.
